Girls Gotta Run Foundation: GGRF is a volunteer organization with the mission of raising funds to support impoverished Ethiopian girls training to be long-distance runners. Since 2006 GGRF has assisted Ethiopian female athletes from well-established training groups, and Running Across Borders is proud to be joining this list. For 2009 GGRF has pledged to devote funds toward sponsoring three of our female developmental athletes.
2L Coaching: This company has always aided runners and triathletes all over North America and Europe by providing online coaching, so anyone with Internet access can gain structure and focus to their training. They now aid athletes in East Africa as well, by offering any of their members free gear in return for contributing toward funds for an athlete from Running Across Borders. This contribution aids toward the sponsorship of one male developmental athlete.
Guernsey Island Amateur Athletics Club: This club facilitates track and field, cross-country, and road running on the island of Guernsey. They are the organizers of the famous Guernsey Easter Festival Races as well as several other fixtures. Now they have reached out from the channel islands to Ethiopia, to sponsor one male developmental athlete.
