2L Coaching to Partner with Running Across Borders to Support Developing Athletes in East Africa
2L Coaching provides online coaching, giving any runner in the world with Internet access the chance to pursue training in a professionally structured system. Their work has tremendous impact for athletes all over North America and Europe who would otherwise have no such guidance, and struggle to progress as a consequence.
2L Coaching will as of this week extend its impact on the lives of athletes down to East Africa through partnership with Running Across Borders, an organization that expands economic opportunities to East African youth through running. Running Across Borders is operating a training camp in Ethiopia that gives young male and female athletes qualified coaching as well as other infrastructural elements such as accommodation, training meals, equipment, varied surfaces, education, and employment. 2L Coaching has introduced a program that will raise funds toward the Sponsor An Athlete program, which pays basic living expenses for one additional athlete allowing her or him to join the camp.
In addition to a regular financial contribution, 2L Coaching will provide an incentive to any current or past member of its service who makes a financial contribution to Running Across Borders. Contributions of the following amounts will receive the following rewards:
$50 – 2L Coaching tech hat ($20 value)
$75 – 2L Coaching tech short sleeve shirt ($25 value)
$100 – A tech shirt and tech hat ($45 value)
By joining with 2L Coaching you will improve your own running situation as well as that of the East African athletes: 2L Coaching will provide the guidance, structure, and equipment required to take your training to the next level, and Running Across Borders will use your donation to increase the number of Ethiopian athletes having access to basic training infrastructures.
